How do I log in to Elite Dangerous through Steam?

I'm already logged in with my Frontier account, how do I log out?

If you have previously logged in with your Frontier account details, you will first need to log out before you can log back in using Steam.

To do this, open up the launcher, select "Options" followed by "Log out Machine", this will reset your authentication token.


How do I log in with Steam?

Once you have successfully logged out of the launcher, you'll just have to select "Steam Log In" and you'll be logged in automatically to your linked Steam account.


What if I'm prompted to link my account? 

If you are a new customer or attempting to log in via Steam for the first time, it is necessary to link your Steam account to your Frontier account.
